Paks clicked through her item list, scanning the various things she had picked up. She had managed to sell some of the ones that weren't useful, either for her job or for the way she intended to play the game. She stopped scrolling when a card came up. The card Shun had dropped when they fought. Paks stared at the card, looking over the insignia of the Kestrel Guild.

She knew what it was. A key card. The object which allowed you to enter a Guild Headquarters. Still, she had avoided the place mostly because her anger had boiled too hotly at the time. Now though, Paks was curious. Shun had said that Kestrel had many members, but that he thought they were all weak. She wondered if it was true, or if that had just been conversation. The curiosity had been getting to her in the past few days, nibbling at her mind when she tried to do other things.

Finally, Paks had listened around until she heard a rumor as to where the headquarters was supposed to be. And after a bit of searching, she had finally found it. Staring blankly at the door, Paks sighed and used her key to unlock it. It wasn't like this should be so strange, she was technically a part of Kestrel now. Or whatever. Straightening to her full height, Paks stalked into the building intent on acting like she was supposed to be there even when the trepidation refused to leave her.

OOC - Sorry, I had to cut it short.

((OCC: Kestrels base is a an actual field, due to it's overall size, same thing with moon tree and all the other large guilds))

When one entered the headquarters of Kestrel, the first thing they would see was what seemed like ancient ruins. The rocky land scape was dotted with a line of marble pillars, that lined the path to a temple like structure, the inner sanctum of the field, the true headquarters in other words. The field was currently calm, but with a flick of a finger from an elite, the ruins could become a monster infested hell.

The ruins seemed empty, but a shadowy digital figure stood upon one of the beat marble pillars. The figure held an inhuman stillness, as if he was a statue that complete the work of art that was pillar. This being was not a statue, though he was an artist of sorts. This being did not paint pictures but he painted destruction, as he was known as Shun Ataki, the speedy demon.

Shun, stood still as the newcomer enter his guilds base, he had seen her before and it seemed as if the meeting had resulted in a favorable outcome. "Pretty, isn't it?" Shun said as his demonic voice echoed through out his virtual realm. The players red hair hung over his right eyes as he tossed his head and spoke again "So, your ready to become strong now?" His voice had a strange curiosity to it, a curiosity that could not be imitated, he held a powerful interest towards Paksennarion.

OOC - 'kay. XP

Paks' eyes roved over the landscape, dipping across the pillars and down the path. She paused for a moment, staring at the structure in the middle of the field. Hard eyes instinctively rising to watch the other player. Her lips curled back into a silent snarl, the action seemed a common occurrence whenever she talked to the brazen PKer. "I thought I told you, I'm not weak," she spat out haughtily, chin up and eyes blazing.

It irked her that he would act so grandiose, like she had come to him as a supplicant. It rubbed her wrong, immediately flaring her explosive anger. She didn't need anyone else to be strong, and she was not here to find a benefactor. Why was she here though? Was it really just curiosity? Shouldn't she have been able to quell her own inquisitiveness? Biting back any more harsh words in favor of an introspective silence, Paks took a step forward. Leaning against the pillar opposite the one Shun was standing on, she tilted her head back to watch him.

What was she here for? She wanted to defeat Shun, that was true. It was embarrassing to have lost, more so because their fight hadn't even been a true one. It couldn't even be considered a battle because he hadn't been giving his all. She wanted to grow stronger, because as she was currently wasn't enough. But Paks wasn't so idealistic that she thought a group would help her in that area. And she didn't like relying on others. What other reasons were there? What else could have possibly compelled her?

She didn't like this new spontaneity. If things were allowed to be random, one lost whatever control over a situation that they had had. And if one didn't have control, they had nothing. Spontaneity was a bad thing. The fact that she was now showing such tendencies was not good. And Paks had no excuse, nothing she could throw up as a reason or something that was accountable for her recent actions. That too, was strange. Dangerous. So she held onto her temper for the moment, hoping that perhaps somehow throughout this encounter she would be able to unravel the reasons for the meeting.

A dark smile came over the players face, a smile of interest. This was not an innocent curiosity but one that a demon held. Shun’s eyes met Paksennarion’s red eyes as she spoke to him. “Then, Why are you here…” Shun laughed as he jumped off the beaten pillar towards the other player, this red hair flew off of his right eye, revealing an expression of pure power. “Perhaps you wanted a rematch?” The player killer said as he drew near the newcomer.

Shun then pressed his digital fist against the marble pillar that Paksennarion was leaning upon. His eye’s stared directly into hers as he spoke in a taunting manner “Or maybe, you simply wanted to learn about Kestrel” The players face was different from when he was hunting, it seemed as if his killing intent was being controlled. The player’s killing intent was still there just hidden, hidden under a powerful curiosity .
“So Which is it” Shun‘s voice held a demonic, prying tone.

Shun took a step away from the other player, allowing him to get a full view of her. He gathered some details that he had missed earlier. It was the first time that Shun could call someone his prey, his prey that survived .

She tensed, shoulders moving back as her chin kicked up another notch. Of course the effect was somewhat ruined by her lack of height. She refused to react to the taunts, unwilling to lose the grip she had on herself. Damask eyes met his solidly, anger tightly reigned in behind the look. She would not react. She would not react. It would just be childish. And Paks was not childish.

Arms at her side, Paks gave off a cocky air with her posturing, even if she didn't feel so confident inside. His questions caused the swirl of discontent to grow thicker, curling around her stomach and squeezing. Why was she here? Why did he have to ask that particular question? Damn it. She narrowed her eyes ever so slightly, clamping down on the maelstrom of anxiety which tried to smash against her. At least he was kind enough to provide answers of his own accord.

Her lips twitched into a small smirk, "I want to know. What you do as a guild. Why. And also, are all of you so weak that you need to kill other players to feel good about yourselves?" She pressed her back against the stone column behind her, hard. It was common sense. If this was a guild of PK'ers, they all had to have a reason. She didn't want to be surrounded by idiots who only bullied others to make themselves feel strong. She wanted to make sure that the members of Kestrel were more refined than that. That other people played the game in a sophisticated manner. If all they were here for was that momentary rush of pleasure, she didn't think that she would fit in. Paks wouldn't even want to.

Shun took a step back as he looked over the prideful player that stood across from him. She had asked a rather interesting question, What does Kestrel do as a guild?. There was a simple answer to that, kill other players, but that was not how Shun truly felt and that didn’t seem to be the answer that Paksennarion was looking for. Shun took another step back as he began to spoke, his blue eyes glowing, without a speck of their demonic red present, “Kestrel is a guild, where most member believe in survival of the of the fittest” Shun’s face had an expression, that was different from before, an expression of pride and hope.

“Each of us has different goals, but as a guild we work together and help each other to gain strength” The player was a rare state of mind, he seemed to be almost peaceful, seeing one such as Shun like was a rare event indeed. Shun’s red hair gleamed in the virtual light as he stepped forward towards the other player. “Your name was Paksennarion, right” Shun’s voice had recovered it’s taunting tone as he stared directly at the other player’s red eyes.

Survival of the fittest? She nodded slowly, an expression of thought crossing her face. That was an interesting philosophy. The strong survived. Which was close enough to her own philosophy if Paks thought about it. If you were weak, you became strong. And if you couldn't or wouldn't do that, then you deserved whatever came to you. And thus the strong lived off of the weak, as people are wont to do. It was a theory that even wildlife held to. If one were to watch animals in their normal habitats, to observe, they would see how that simple thing played out. Weak creatures died to feed the strong creatures, and in the end the world went on. Each death or loss simply one small drop in the big scheme of things.

The beginnings of a smile tilted her lips, and Paks looked at the guild master without anger for the first time. "Yes, I am called Paksennarion. Although people tend to shorten it to Paks," she bowed shortly, hair thumping against her shoulder. "I don't believe you gave your name earlier, correct?" She quirked one purple eyebrow, the sea of emotions in her stomach calming finally.

She had found her answer, and it was an acceptable one. More than acceptable. It was something she could use, and move forward with. Something to quell the turmoil, and provide a purpose with. Survival of the fittest, huh? She grinned then, a happy smile that did nothing to mask the dangerous glint to her eyes. She was pretty good at surviving after all.

The emotion that had come over Shun quickly disappeared as he view Paks’s expression. It seemed as if he had given a decent answer for the moment., The player killer turned and signaled for the other player to follow him as he walk towards the temple, the inner sanctum of Kestrel. “My name is Shun Ataki” Shun said as he placed his hand on the outer wall of the large ancient looking structure, which like the pillars was also made of marble.

Shun quickly picked up his pace and entered the temple, “This is kestrel” he said in a low voice as he pointed to the room that was full of a large amount players, some were talking , other trading. In the center of the room laid the mascot of the guild, a small grunty, who at the moment seemed to be preoccupied with speaking to another guild member. Shun continued through the crowd of players, only to stop in front of a large door that seemed to require another key card to open.

"Ataki-san," she greeted softly, "It is nice to meet you." The irony of those words didn't detract from her politeness, although she couldn't help but smirk lightly. How the winds changed, no one knew. Following after him, a bit to the right and a pace behind his form, she took the time to look around. Eyes flickering over their surroundings before she carefully stepped over the mantel and into the temple.

Surprisingly, it looked to be just one main room. From the outside Paks had expected lots of coiling corridors and twisting chambers. The colorful influx of players was a surprise too, as she hadn't seen anyone outside nor heard a thing. It had seemed solemn and solitary before. Paks carefully looked over the other players, taking note of the ones that stood out. She didn't want to run into a Kestrel Member later on and not recognize them. Luckily she had always had a talent for these sorts of things and chances were she would remember most if not all of the faces in this room.

Slipping through the crowd, she remained silent in her trailing of the other player. Most of the members in the room payed her no heed, and she was small enough to slide in between people without disturbing them. It took but a moment to cross the room, and then she paused along with Ataki-san to stare at a door placed in the wall. Holding still, Paks eyed the Guild Master out of the corner of her eye, waiting to see what action he would take.

Shun nodded his head slightly as Paks spoke to him, this allowed his crimson red hair to fall down over his light blue eyes. The player was rather relaxed, though the headquarters of Kestrel was one of the safest places to him. Though relaxed Shun still held a demonic aura about him, his body has still and he watched every movement that happened around him.

Shun released a short sign, signaling that it was time to move on. This signal was mostly for himself, but some of the surrounding members back up a few steps and gave their guild master a light glance. A flash engulfed the players hand as he brought out a key card, the card had the symbol of Kestrel on it, similar the key that Paks had used to enter the ruin like field. The door creaked open revealing a new, small room.

The room was a marble platform, that was lined with ten chair like structures, the most interesting part was the fact that the room looked over a series of intricate maze, that seem to be located under the Kestrel Temple.” This, room is meant for elites, though…” Shun’s voice held a strong tone though his eye’s had an empty look to them, but one could never be sure of ones emotions by simply looking a graphics. “only two position are filled“ Shun chuckled in his usual demonic tone as he looked down towards the mazes. .

Paks watched as a few of the people in the room seemed to sense something from Ataki-san as they moved back. Glancing over at him, she tried to see what they had, but couldn't tell anything that stood out. Deciding to be stubborn, she held her ground. It was perhaps stupid, but at the moment Paks was feeling obstinate.

The logical side of her brain helpfully pointed out that she didn't know Ataki-san that well, and obviously the members of Kestrel would, and thus she should be taking pointers from their actions. And even though that made sense, her stubborn pride wouldn't allow her to move back. It would be like admitting that she was like those other members, and Paks held herself above them without taking the chance to know them. She just knew. She was better than them. And along with that knowledge came a resistance to act like they would. Who cared what some players were wary of? Paks wasn't about to act cautiously just because they felt the need to.

So instead of stepping off to the side, she turned curious if not a bit mulish eyes on Ataki-san. The brilliant flash as he brought out another card was enough to cause her to blink quickly, and when the spots died down she glanced over the keycard, so similar to the one in her pocket.

The door slowly scraped open, and the short player cast a sweeping glance inside. She wasn't sure what to expect now, but sure enough the sight was not at all what she had tentatively expected. Cocking her head to the side, Paks looked over at the ten chairs before turning back to Ataki-san as he spoke. "Two...?" she queried softly.

Shun, lowered his head as he turned towards, the other player. Hidden beneath Shun’s blood red hair stood a smile of pure excitement as he had seemed to have caught the girls interest. The guild master slowly walk towards one of the ten seats, it was rather large and looked much nicer than most of the other graphics in the room, except for one other chair, which seemed to belong to Shun. The player metal covered hand soon found a place on the back of the large chair as Shun began to speak in his usual demonic voice. “Yes, Soeki Mitsukai my third in command and I, are the only two members strong enough.” It was rather obvious that he had put a powerful emphasis on Soeki Mitsukai’s position in the guild, though even in with the tone that the player killer had used, it would be hard to tell if he was serious or simply taunting the other member, Paks. “Of course this doesn’t really matter to you does it?” Shun chuckled as he eagerly awaited a response from his fellow player, he was well prepared for an outburst of anger, but that did not mean he was suspecting one.

OOC - Ahhs, sorry for my recent absence. This post'll be a bit odd too since I haven't posted for awhile.

Paks stepped into the room, delicately making her way over to the chairs. Reaching up, she ran her fingers over the backs before idly turning to Ataki-san. "I don't care who else belongs to your elite group," she sneered softly, not so much disdainfully as perhaps unemotionally, "Obviously if this Mitsukai person is third then they are weaker than you, which means they are none of my concern." She glanced at the third chair, before looking away in contemptuous dismissal.

Making her way around the chairs, Paks surveyed them all with cool, assessing eyes. She paused, a chair away from Ataki-san's position. Drawing herself up to her full height, she shot him an imperial stare. Even if he was taller than her, she could still look haughty without looking down her nose. He had obviously brought her here for a reason. Paks thought it was somewhat unlikely that all new members of Kestrel were presented with a tour of this particular room. And if he had a point, he wasn't going to get anywhere by beating around the bush. So she leveled him with her most superior glare in an attempt to drag the information out of him. Waiting around like this had never suited her fancy.

Shun, was obviously not very good at be straight forward, the player commonly treated conversations as if they were fights. This method of thinking had not worked out well, as he was stuck in his current situation with Paks glaring at him. The players face tightened as he regain his rather disdainful demonic composer and slowly the player let out a soft chuckle, which quickly transformed it’s self into a full blown laugh.

“ What?” Shun laughed in a demonic tone, his eyes were slowly gaining their demonic red tint as the guild master spoke to the other assertive player. “Do you believe …that you are powerful enough to be the vice-guild master of Kestrel?” Shun had stopped laughing in an abrupt manner as he reach the end of his sentence, his face had grown to look rather serious. Shun had reach the main point, though he had preformed the task in a less then desired manner, but he had reached the main point of his conversation.

Paks cocked her head to the side, purple hair cascading down her shoulders as Ataki-san laughed. He seemed to do that a lot, along with those strange stares. She shrugged internally, it wasn't like Paks didn't have her own habits and annoying tendencies. Even so, her eyes narrowed. The reasons for him laughing were rather short, and the main one being that he was laughing at her. Feathers ruffled she took a step forward, not quite sure what she was intending when he suddenly stopped laughing and his words registered.

She sneered and without pausing answered, "Of course." Tilting her head back, she pulled all of her arrogance to the forefront not even pausing for a moment to question weather she actually wanted such a position. He had put her skills into question, and she wasn't about to back down.

“good.” The player’s strong voice rang out through the platform as his expression changed to a proud and self-satisfied image across his serious face. “She is a rather confident one, this will be very interesting” Shun thought as he looked over the confident purple haired player. Shun blue eyes, which still contained a hint of red stayed locked on his new vice guild masters face, he looked for any change in her expression.
The Guild mater’s eyes remained locked for a long moment, until he released a deep sigh and shifted his gaze towards the door.

The player’s red hair fell on to his face as he slowly step towards Paks, “Paks you do realize, that people may look up to you know. They will also trust you and follow you.” Shun’s tone was overly calm, this was rather surprising considering that moment had been the first time he had called the red eyed player by her name. After finishing his comment, the red haired player killer began to continue towards the door, only pausing briefly as he waited for the other Player, his new-vice guild master.

A smirk crawled across her face as Paks waved her hands flippantly, "Then I will be worthy of that respect and trust." Sometimes it seemed like people thought things in such a complicated manner. If something happened, she would overcome it. If something was needed, she would strive to produce it. It wasn't worth the time to worry over weather or not she could, she would. And that was that.

For a still moment she suddenly realized that she was now considered the Vice-Guild Master, and other than the shock and stubborn approval, she almost felt a bit irritated that Ataki-san had managed to pull her in like he had. Still, her own weaknesses were her own, and she would live with the the products of them.

Nodding determinedly at Ataki-san, she walked over to him and waited for the other player to step through the door. It wasn't a subservient action, she merely understood the reasons for protocol and that a Guild needed to see that their Guild-Master was strong even in something so subtle as that.

The guild master’s face had an expression of confidence as he looked over his powerful and proud new Vice guild master. Shun lifted up his hand as a bright light filled the room and the large door opened, revealing the crowed of players huddling in front of the private room. It had been quiet a while since a new member or any normal member for that matter had been allowed in the elites quarters.

Shun only sighed as he looked upon the players that surrounded him, with a tilt of his head that allowed his red hair to fall down upon his face, Shun turned towards Paks, “I trust you can introduce yourself” Shun said in a proud voice as he stepped to the side of the door, making room for Paks.

OOC - Aaah. I'm sorry for this short post too. T.T

Paks stepped out of the room, dark garnet eyes flitting back and forth to gauge the collected group. They had gathered, but she could still see the personality in most of them as they spoke amongst each other in quiet voices, waiting. These would be a willful bunch no doubt, most certainly if they all held the idea that they were strong. Which was probably a prerequisite to being a player killer, if you didn't have confidence in that area it would be rather hard to act. She had to step carefully, to make sure that they understood that she was not to be trifled with. A title and recognition from the Guild-Master was all well and good, but when he wasn't around what would matter is what the other members thought of her.

Lifting her head imperiously, Paks shot them all an assertive glare. Her fingers dropped to caress the handles of her tessen as she stared at the group. "I am Paks. I will be your Vice Guild Master," she let her voice rise, loud enough so that everyone could hear her clearly.

Shun, smiled as Paks spoke to his guild, it seemed as if he had made the right choice. A strong and daring person had become his vice guild master. Though a smile was on his face, there a hint of concern in his eyes, it can from the fact that there were many people in “The World” that wished to see Kestrel fade away.
One such guild was pacifistic guild, that was technically on peaceful terms with Kestrel but it’s more radical member seek to destroy people like Shun , this guild was known as Moon tree.

With a slight sign, Shun turn towards the outer door of the temple like and headquarters and spoke. “I have business that have to see to, so don’t go too crazy while I’m gone.” The player had a right in saying this as the guild has gotten it’s self in to trouble with C.C corp. more than once. With this said Shun walk out in to the bright ruin like field and stared at the chaos gate.
