In case I don't describe it well enough
Spoiler:
It seemed to be midnight, with the moon high in the sky. The pitch-black blanket of night seemed to have been poked millions of times, letting light come through in the form of an uncountable amount of tiny dots. Beneath the moon's glowing face was a massive forest of treeless and branchless trees. Practically poles of wood, these bark-covered pillars loomed over a single figure ominously. This figure crouched low in the woods, following a woodland trail that would lead to the Boss Monster. The figure was cloaked in shadows, and crouched over like an animal. He sped through the woods with expert agility, probably using some form of item to increase his speed. Earlier that day Kiun had decided to re-visit his favorite area of all time. Beloved Secret Night Moon was an area he had helped one of his friends in game design back a few months ago. Since then he had come there nearly every single day to check up and play a little bit. The forest was only the first level, one of few dungeons that started above ground.

Kiun would come to the end of the trail to find a massive oak tree, the only tree in the forest to have branches or leaves. Its trunk was a massive, gnarled knot of roots and bark. However, at the back end of the tree was a make-shift doorway in the roots. That was where Kidate entered the tree. After the new area loaded, he would find himself underground. The area was a weaving maze of tunnels, all made of dirt with various roots sticking out of the walls and ceiling. It was an earth-based dungeon, and all the players would find were beasts and insects of an extremely high level. Kiun sped forward, finding the first beast and drawing forth his gauntlets. His hands now covered in brown fur to match his appearance, and his claws now longer and razor-sharp, Kiun launched himself at the massive worm of a creature. In a few rapid attacks he took down the monster, though this was the weakest one in the area.

Kumari hummed tunelessly as she spun through the forest. The eerie landscape enough to call out her more somber side. The smile had slipped from her face a while back and an emotionless look had fallen in it's place. With a pradator's grace, Kumari performed an intricate dance around the bare trees, her feet avoiding the actual bark by mere inches. Arms held up, she closed her eyes and allowed the cold chill of night and the sensation of limbs cutting through air to carry her away.

Twirling faster her bare feet etched a design against the damp earth. Blood surging primally, her humming grew louder. And then, she paused, foot hovering over the next step. Opening her eyes, Kumari stared at the sole tree with limbs. It was too big to fit into her dance, and to edge around it and break the pattern would ruin everything. Perhaps she could backtrack? But that would throw things off too, she couldn't travel over the same path twice. It just wouldn't be the same.

The serene feeling quickly floated away at this new problem, leaving her eyes glittering resolutely. Reaching out, Kumari placed her palm against the tree bark. It didn't depart any messages, but instinctively she ducked between the branches and around to the back. The crude door stood out in the moonlight, as if it's edges had been carved by a glowing white marker. Pushing it open, Kumari hopped inside with a graceless leap.

Once she landed she quickly slipped the cattail over her ear, securing it in place with locks of hair. Then she slipped forward, dusting across the earthen floor. It was only a few paces until she spotted him. Eyes going wide, the first thing that popped out of her mouth was, "Oh."

Kiun was in the middle of taking down a few mole-like creatures, each baring a lance and wearing armor. He held his own lance still, waiting for them to attack. When they did, he would block and counter. His movements were more fluid than one would think possible in a game, then again, The World wasn't just a game. He parried, dodged, blocked, slashed, stabbed, and smashed with the lance. Soon all of the moles were defeated. The experience he had gained was satisfactory, but it wasn't what he been hoping for. He would have to make sure to tell his friend to reprogram it to be a higher-level. As he made this mental note a voice entered his head. "Oh." was the only thing that he heard, but he might have missed the rest. He turned down the heavy metal music that was blaring in the background, and made his character turn around.

His tail flicked back and forth cheerfully as he noticed the woman standing there. He eyes were wide and she seemed rooted to the spot. He took a few steps forward, packing his weapon away in its virtual place in his inventory. It disappeared in a flash of light and code and he raised a hand. "Kiun, Icolo Guild Master. I am glad I'm not the only one who enjoys this area. You do like this area, right?" Kiun said, all very fast and mushed together. He always got nervous when meeting new people, though he was usually able to hide it better.

Kumari grinned, dipping down into a bow before rising and bowing again. "Oh, hello. I didn't think anyone else would be here, sorry for interrupting!" She rose one last time, a hand rising to rub at the back of her head sheepishly. "I'm Kumari, it's nice to meet you Kiun!" she called out cheerfully.

She paused, mouth opening as if she was about to say something but was thinking it through first. And then her purple eyes flickered back towards Kiun and her smile grew wider still, "Like it? I love this field! Although it would be cooler if there was mist or something, fog y'know? The kind that lays low on the ground? So that you can skip through it? Yeah, that'd be pretty awesome," she had cocked her head to the side, babbling excitedly.

It was a pleasant surprise to meet someone down here, although in reality, Kumari hadn't even known what to expect when she had seen that door. It was sort of amusing that she had found another guild leader here, not that she enjoyed professing her status. It was just a title to her. And besides, there had been a lull recently with members and at the moment Moontree had hardly any active members! There was no one to talk to, or play with, and Kumari had been getting rather bored wandering around by herself.

"Fog..Shoulda thought of that. Well, you wanna play with me? This is only the first floor, and it would be much more fun to go through the level with other players." Kiun said, smiling. He rubbed the back of his head and waited for her response, while writing down a note about the fog idea in real life. Then, he got an idea. "I'll give you my e-mail address so that we can re-do the dungeon when I've fixed it up a bit! It'll be fun!" He said excitedly.

((It's fine.))

Kumari nodded quickly, preparing to launch into another babbling conversation until his last words registered. "Wait! You're a programmer?" Her eyes grew wide, like huge round coins. She didn't know that any programmers actually played The World, although it made sense. How else would you know if things worked the way you wanted them to unless you checked it out yourself?

Then she bubbly skipped on, not one to stay on a subject for too long. No matter how surprising. "I would love to play this level with you! I've been so bored lately, and it's sort of sad to do dungeons alone." Grinning, she bounced up and down on her feet.

She was glad that he hadn't asked if she was in a Guild, because Guild tensions really annoyed her. Why did it matter which group someone liked to associate with? It seemed more and more these days people weren't playing just for fun as they had been in the past. Another sad and duly noted different in R:2.

"I'm an administrator, my friend is a programmer. I help him out. This field I designed." He said by way of correcting her. He smiled at her and sent her his e-mail address via-flash mail. Then, he waited for her to return it so that they could party up. "So how has Moon Tree been fairing? I don't have time to check up anymore, I was wondering if you'd seen anything on the boards? I really hope they stay strong, its good to have people with such strong views." He said conversationally.

((Sorry for mine too, I can't seem to write more than one paragraph and then random filler. XP))

"Ahh, that's interesting," Kumari piped, eying Kiun speculatively now that she knew he held such a lofty position in the real world. Fingers danced across the keyboard as she sent her own e-mail back to him, making sure to save his.

Tilting her head to the side, Kumari reached up to brush the vibrant pink hair off her forehead and out of her eyes. So he had known, huh? That was interesting too. "Moontree is doing as well as can be expected. Soon though I'll need to try and get more branches you know. It's rather hard to be a tree without limbs," she prattled optimistically. In time things would get better, she knew it. This was just one of those lulls, like when summer vacation came and most people took a break from playing so much. Or Finals, or all those other random life events that effected activity.

"Ah. Well, I do hope that works out for you." Kiun said, receiving her e-mail almost instantly. Technology was a spectacular thing. He quickly sent her a party invite, his fingers moving so fast it astounded Kiun. After getting a job with the game, his typing skills had improved dramatically. That would be a good thing to put on a resume. "If it helps, I kicked all of the other emperors from the guild. I am waiting for them to start up the tournaments again. Bloody hacking cheaters, only one of them won his tournament fairly, but he was obnoxious." Kiun said, going off on a rant. A cross hair animation appeared on his character's forehead, quickly going away afterward.

OOC - Ahhs... Sorry it's so short.

Kumari smiled contritely, "I know, I know. Those sorts of people are rather annoying," she waved her hands through the air flippantly, as if brushing away bugs. A small 'beep' had her clicked accept on a part request, and then it was done. Twirling slightly in excitement, Kumari watched her party member. He said he had wanted to do this level, but talking was nice too. Of course, they could probably do both at the same time. She grinned at that.

Kiun checked to make sure everything was set within the party, also making sure to check her level. He didn't expect it to be low, but he wanted to know he if would have to watch her or just let her fight freely. "Steam gunner? That should help." He said aloud, though he was speaking to himself. He then turned to look down the ominous, dark, root-infested tunnel ahead of them. Though it was a turn-off to most, Kiun felt at home in the dungeon. He took the lead, homing that she would keep pace as he walked through the, seemingly, never-ending tunnels. "Now, don't worry too much about memorizing the way out. We designed a program that The World might start using very often. It automatically switches up the map of the area every twenty minutes or so. Its pretty cool." Kiun said, now rambling on. As he opened his mouth to add something, he noticed a group of monsters. They were just four or so monsters, and the weakest of the level, but it was always better to approach with caution. He eyed the massive, worm-like beasts that wriggled through the open room that was ahead of them. Kiun stood still, waiting for Kumari to catch sight and maybe suggest what they would do next. I'm not a very good leader.. He thought to himself.

Kumari flashed him a brilliant grin, skipping after the Guild Master as he traversed the dark and dirty tunnel of doom and root-ness. She glanced up at one of the roots speculatively, before decided to play around later. It was easy enough to brush off stupid stunts when one was by themselves and thus had no one to explain things to, harder when there was someone watching you fail. Resuming her soft humming, Kumari peered through the darkness before chirping out a gleeful 'okay' to Kiun's explanation about maps and things. She liked wandering around anyway, and getting lost was always fun unless you were on a tight time frame. Then again, time frames weren't fun, so perhaps getting lost was a way of making them fun. She would have to test that out sometime soon.

Pausing when Kiun stopped, Kumari edged her way forward before attempting to pierce through the darkness and see ahead. The tunnel opened up into a room, and the lighting was a bit better with the larger space. Her eyes were drawn to movement, as large worm like creatures began to burrow their way out of the ground. "Oh ewwww!" she all but wailed plaintively. She really hated bugs. And large ones? Ugh.

Eying her companion hesitantly, she offered a tentative plan of action, hoping he would agree with her, "We could, uh, attack from over here you know... Like, not get too close?" She really didn't want to get too close, who knew what those worm things would do.
