Paks brushed a hand against her cheek, slipping through the crowd until she reached the Chaos Gate. Bleary eyes blinked rapidly to make sense of the CG images, and having no real idea of what she was going, she sent in a random phrase. Paks had been playing on The World for around a week or so, and the first thing she had done was read the manual before skimming the BBS. So she managed to avoid being a total new person, but that didn't mean she had the experience to know what the end results of her actions would be.

As the by now familiar golden bands crossed over her body, Paks was transported to a field. The first thing she noticed was the absence of light. More so, the lack of sunlight. It appeared to be night on this field, with a bright full moon hanging high in the sky. For a moment Paks' eyes seemed to register reddish orange flickers across the shining expanse of the moon, but she decided that her eyes were playing tricks on her. Stone held firm beneath her feet, a small courtyard with a sinister looking building off to the left. In the midst of the courtyard, was a fountain. Glowing water slipped from the statue at the top, falling down to be caught in the large stone bowl.

Drawing closer, Paks saw that the statue was in fact an angel, face turned so that the moon's soft rays would land on it. The soft trickle of liquid from her cupped hands seemed innocent enough, so Paks perched on the lip of the bowl and watched the moonlight play across the pooling water. Every once and awhile she would glance back at the strangely dark building behind her, but all in all she tried to ignore it. There was something in there, she could tell. And Paks didn't want to get herself in over her head so soon. While this was an eerie field, she didn't particularly mind. There was a solemn sort of silence here, one which she could fully appreciate. And if the moon flickered red a few more times, who was she to complain?

The radiance of the field was amazing, though this did not matter to the young looking P.K. who lurked in the shadows. The red haired P.C. moved in a flash towards the other Player, who he believed would soon be his target. Shun was now a few feet away form the other adept rouge, his dark armor was gleaming in the graphic moonlight.

"What brings you, Here miss?" Shun laughed in a sarcastic voice, his hands were covered with dark black metallic gauntlets. The red Haired character move towards Paksennarion in a series of quick steps, his eyes were filled with a bloody rage that seemed unachievable within the game. The P.K. seemed to be rather relaxed as he approached his soon be Target.

"Do you Like games?" Shun said in a cold deadly voice, it seemed as if he already had a plan for the player.
Shun Stared down Paksennarion in a vicious manner, he was now allowing the other player to react, it was a common P.K. courtesy.

Paks shifted, neck twisting so that she could stare up at the tall player. Red eyes narrowed marginally, as she scoffed softly at his manner. "Games? I'm not sure, it depends on who you're playing them on," she spoke, twisting the words into a facsimile of sweet innocence. With a deft turn, she was suddenly on her feet. Legs spread ever so slightly apart and hands hanging down by her sides, the short girl sneered at the other player.

"Although... People tell me I'm no fun to play with, would you care to test that?" Again she spoke lightly, the tone airy, totally at odds with the disdain that colored her features. Smiling mirthlessly, she flashed her fangs broadly.

Paks found it all too easy to fall into bluffs. In all actuality, her level was rather low. But that didn't mean her temperament couldn't make up for it. She wouldn't allow this brat to play around with her. And if he thought that she was going to jump right into his net, he'd better think again. Anyone with half a brain could see his intent.

Standing perfectly balanced she waited to see how he would respond. Her fingers were loose, and it would only take a second to grip her tessen. Most likely she wouldn't have that second, but reaching for them now would only up the chances of the guy attacking. Perhaps he wouldn't call her bluff, or perhaps she could stall long enough for something else to happen. Glaring up at him, Paks' eyes blazed angrily as she mentally readied herself for anything. She'd be damned if some high and mighty player toyed with her and got away with it.

Kiun watched, amused, from the roof of a grizzly building in the distance of an area. It had been a temple of sorts and one point in time, of that he was sure. Now it housed only the boss monster of the area, and what a monster it was. It had taken him up until only recently to be able to take it on alone. He followed an adept rogue as he stalked from the shadows, approaching a girl by a beautiful fountain. According to the data he had received from CCCorp, she was an adept rogue as well. She was new, and within his domain so he had to follow her today just to check up. The next week was his vacation, and how he looked forward to it. Adept Rogues plague this game nowadays... Kiun thought to himself, looking down at his hands. They were furry, and the claws seemed elongated. From the claws came an eerie green glow.

Leaping from the roof of the building, he kicked the door open. The monster inside resembled the mythological Japanese dragon. With five simple strikes the dragon was down for the count, and Kiun took the items from the chest behind it. Turning to leave with the newly found gauntlets that were several levels too low for him, he decided to get a closer look at the two players. He came upon them as they were talking, and the woman's voice came into his ears.

"Although... People tell me I'm no fun to play with, would you care to test that?" She said, and Kiun almost burst into laughter. Up against the guildmaster of Kestrel and she was talking smack. This woman had guts, Kiun liked that. However, odds were she was way too young for him. She was too new to join into the Arena just yet, so joining Icolo was out of the question. Deciding to wait and see what happened, Kiun found a comfortable spot in the shadows.

Shun relaxed even more as his target spoke to him a powerful manner. A challenge was always welcome in Shun's book as he loved it when his enemy fought back. The black gloves disappeared in a quick burst of light and was replaced by a long skinny average scythe that was use to maintain a full, powerful speed. The adept Rogue Stared at the bold lady, one more time before he step behind her at an amazing speed.

"So you accept?" Shun said as he lifted his scythe in the air, his red hair was moving in a graphic motion, nothing out of the ordinary but the thrill of the hunt was as real as ever. The Guild Master had a different feeling about Paksennarion, but he wouldn't know if it was true until he tested his gut. The adept rogue moved back in front of the female "Anger...that makes this fun" Shun laughed as he set back and look up towards the fellow guild master, an embodiment of his former glory but that did not matter a the moment.

Shun's eyes glowed red as he shifted his gaze back towards Paksennarion, the girl seemed to be somewhat new but had a strange aura to him. "So it is now your turn my little Friend" Shun taunted eagerly.

She held perfectly still as the player slipped behind her, a scythe in hand. She hadn't fully seen the motion, other than a blur of graphics. Behind the computer screen, Anju held her breath without thinking, eyes narrowed on the screen. If he attacked from behind right now, that would be bad. In the intermittent pause, Paks' hands drifted down pet the handles of her fans. A split-second later, the player was back in front of her, eyes glowing. So he had called her bluff. Very well, Paks could deal with that.

She smiled, hands tightening to grip her tessen. Paks pulled them from her sash in one smooth motion, holding them closed in front of her. Delicate fingers flicked out to lovingly caress the metal edges, just lightly enough to avoid being cut by the blade. He wanted a fight then? Fine. She wasn't going to run even if she was outclassed. She could care about repercussions later. She would give him a fight alright. Eyes narrowed, another snarl working it's way up her throat. But Paks clamped down on that, instead running the tip of her tongue over her upper lip, before smirking slowly, languidly.

Her smirk grew as Paks' eyes rose to meet Shun's. Red on red. "As you wish," she finally spoke, deceptively mild. Moonlight danced across the metal, flickering beneath her eyes as Paks elegantly stepped to the side. Flicking her right wrist, she unfolded the tessen with a loud snap. Lunging in towards his side, Paks held the small fan out so that the sharp edge would near his flesh.

Suddenly, in mid-lunge, when she was close enough to reach out and touch him, Paks threw herself down. Rolling across the somewhat uneven cobblestone beneath them, she thrust down with her legs to pop up a few inches behind him. Another flick of the wrist and both of her tessen were unfurled.

Paks' arms glided through the air as she whirled in a circular motion which would bring the blades across the players back if she was successful. Grim determination flushed the joyous feel at the motions away. This was a one-sided battle, but damn it if she didn't at least leave a mark.

The moon light dance on Paksennarion’s war fans as she proceeded with the first attack. The attack seemed to be well thought out, but it was somewhat obvious that she was rather new to “the World.”, a place where Shun felt at home. As the blade was about to brought down onto the red haired P.K.ers back, Shun shifted his digital body just enough so that the war fan cut straight into Shun’s right arm. The damage had been dealt though no physical marks appeared on the malevolent player’s body,.

In a quick retaliation Shun thrust his agile scythe towards his target’s weapon as they came off his right arm.
Whether or not the weapons actually meant did not matter, because as soon as the scythe was Fully extended, Shun tossed his head back and the familiar light of the weapon switch appear. The black metallic gauntlets flew towards Paksennarion’s lower mid section as Shun had attempted to open it up. Of course the attack was straight forward, but this Player Killer loved the thrill of the hunt and wanted to make it last.

Shun jump backwards in one graceful acrobatic motion, that seemed to go against his personality. Shun’s demonic voice flooded the field as he spoke once again to the fellow adept rogue. “Are you enjoying our little game, or should we increase the difficultly” Shun’s taunt was proof that was already beginning to have fun toying with what he wanted to call his next victim.

Paks flowed with the motion, blades cutting through air as they passed through the players arm. She went to continue the motion, hoping to use her follow through for another slashing attack. Instead the players scythe arched down, and Paks twisted her wrists quickly. Snapping them in such a way that the heavy ends of her tessen crossed to block the downward thrust. Moving to slide her fans up and execute a simple twist which would hopefully wrench the scythe from his hands, Paks stumbled forward in shock as the weapon disappeared in a play of lights.

A look of surprise crossed her face, as a heavy force impacted with her stomach. Breath bursting from her lips, Paks flew backwards into the air. Twisting, she managed to flip and land on her feet a bit unsteadily. Hands tightly wrapped around her tessen, she assessed the damage. She really was outclassed. At least she hadn't let go of her weapons.

Snarling angrily, Paks slid her right leg forward and her left back a bit. Turning her dominant foot so that she was safely balanced. "Levi Suvi-Ma," she whispered softly, the twist of her mouth a dangerous frown. She wasn't about to give the man a real response. His comments hadn't warranted any thus far. Light blue energy seemed to coat her limbs, coalescing around her fans before shooting out towards the player as she completed the spell. The energy caused her hair to rise up, while the ends of her black sash snapped out behind her.

To Shun’s surprise the attack hit, causing enemy to fly back. The red haired P.K.er found that a smirk of pleasure had crept it’s way on to hiss face, causing his appearance to look all the more demonic. Before he could take another step forward, the opposing Player had unleash a powerful spell, out of what seemed like anger. “Slip in to the rage and maek the kill!” Shun laughed as he began to dash around Paksennarion in a high speed, in a quick attempt to doge the glowing, blue spell. This was to no avail, before Shun could move out of range, a speck of light hit his lower leg knee.

The Player killer began to wobble as he sped in a circular motion, This is something new!! I guess my gut was right., Shun laughed in his head as he begun to swing his scythe towards the female player. The scythe swept through the air, stabilizing Shun and attempting to hit Paksennarion, the force of the swing or a flick as the other players called it was enough to push Shun up into the air. The read Haired player was unsure I the attack hit or if his target had also been sent flying. It did not matter it seemed as though his time was limited.

Shun switched his weapons once again as fell back towards the graphical earth, he held his right gauntlet in front of his upper body as he hurled down towards where he believed Paksennarion would be. “I’ll let you in on a little secret..” Shun’s malevolent voice filled the field as the plummeted down. “I am only one of a great many Pkers, one a great many that belong to a great guild” Shun continued as neared the virtual ground “A Guild that is Kestrel” Shun laughed as his fist slammed in to the ground, though he was now stuck in an open area with little movement.

As the glow died down, Paks' eyes narrowed. He had moved again. Had she missed then? Whirling around to try and catch him in her sights, Paks saw the scythe swing down once more. It would be too risky to pull another block with her tessen, he could easily do as he did before and attack from another angle. No, she would have to do something a bit more extreme. The Macabre Dancer reached back to the long rectangle strapped to her back. With a swift nimbleness that defied the weight of the weapon, she flicked the huge fan open.

Hebi no Hanarabi was a large Dansen Uchiwa. A war fan. Unfurled, it acted as a huge shield. Easily blocking the bladed scythe from reaching her. Paks grasped the metal end with one hand, her other sliding down to support a middle slat. She was able to see from her vantage point, eyes peering from over the top of her fan while the rest of her body was hidden from sight. She stood in an almost perpendicular stance, however by sliding her right leg back and twisting the foot to the side, she held a stabilized position.

The player had leapt into the air, and once again a flash of light signified that his weapons had chanced. Paks had the time to wonder, how it was that a player could change weapons like that, but shrugged it off as something to think of at a later date. At his next words, she scoffed loudly. "So?" she drawled, not understanding why this player, a PKer, was telling her this. Was it to scare her? Did he not know that if she'd had any common sense she already would have run? Since she hadn't, she obviously wasn't going to now.

With a quick sliding motion, Paks had angled Hebi no Hanarabi ever so slightly. Fans were interesting things, and while the PKer was attacking straight on, she could perhaps manipulate his attack. By tilting her fan, and then putting all of her force behind holding it up, she hoped to get his attack to glance off. To hit the fan and then slide because there wasn't a straight surface.

“impressive” Shun hissed as forced his body up off the ground. “within this guild there are ten elites” Shun continued as he hit the ground causing his body to shoot a couple feet into the air, this was necessary as he no longer had full control over either of his legs . In a few quick acrobatic motions, shun had managed to propel his virtual body over his target, Paksennarion. “I believe that you would be able to compete with these ten people, that is if you had not meant me.” Shun laughed as his bloody red hair was tossed by release of his thin scythe.

The scythe began to move in a swinging motion, but it swung inwards towards the player killer. The movement created a suction like force, that had the power to pull the female Player opposing Shun towards him. If this trap worked, Paksennarion would have to deal with a tribal grappler in close range, one of the last things that one would want to face with in “the world”. Shun switch out his gloves and eagerly awaited, to see if his trap had actually worked.

“I know this for one reason…” Shun said as he threw some powerful punches towards the air current that his scythe had created. “That reason is …..” Shun almost seemed to be covered in an evil aura, his eyes were flashing between the normal blue and an eerie bloody red. “I’ve fought my way through all of them” The player killer said as he watched for the result of his plan, he would leave the end of his story open for question, though he figured that the fan wielding rogue understood the point of it.

Resisting the temptation to make some witty remark about his colleagues having been weak for him to defeat them, Paks frowned minutely as a strange force seemed to pull her body forward. She tried to dig in her feet, but the strange position she had taken up earlier now turned out to be a hindrance. Sliding forward, she gave up resisting and instead threw the huge fan in her hands straight towards the other player. Whatever force was drawing her towards him would no doubt draw the fan quicker. After that, she flew forward herself.

Managing to maneuver herself ever so slightly, Paks jerked her legs up off the ground so that her full force would meet the back of her fan when her feet connected. Hopefully that would add even more strength to the fan were it to hit the player. She was wary though, his first attack from before had drained her a lot more than she was willing to let on. If he attacked once more, she wasn't sure if she could hold out.

"If you greet all the people who you think would fit into your guild like this, it's no wonder you're wandering around trying to get people to join," she hissed vindictively, not really sure if that was his purpose. But at the moment, Paks didn't really care what his purpose was.

OOC - Sorry for the shortness.

Shun Brace himself as the fan flew towards in at an amazing speed, the force push him eve farther back and did even worse damage to his health. It was becoming obvious that he was suffering for the sake of entertainment, the battle would not had been as punishing he had simply used a few powerful techniques.. It was too lat for those type of thoughts, all that was left was the heat of the battle and love for the fight.
“don’t get me wrong, this is not a greeting and Kestrel is full of members.’ Shun took a moment as he search for his target, then without hesitation Shun began to slam the ground , in a hope to some damage.
The adept rogue was very interested in this women.

“Normal players would run, but you fought.” Laughed the player killer in demonic tone, he was really have a good time, his form of entertainment was brutal, but all the same entertaining to him. The virtual ground shook as Shun pound his fists into earth once more, the game was put together very well, that was defiantly true at this moment. “Though my Most powerful and closest comrades are few, because I allow those who are strong t o join me.” Shun’s eyes flashed a bloody Red once again, “ I find all the other members weak”

Shun’s red hair tossed as he threw one final misplaced punch, in a somewhat desperate attempt to attack his foe, before his P.C. body became rendered useless by Paksennarion’s spell. “You may not be weak” Shun said in a surprisingly serious voice, “You may be strong “ Shun was preparing for the battle to end, he had no clue who the victor would be.

She felt the fan connect, the force of the hit traveling up her feet and through her short body. With nothing pulling her forward, Paks was subject to gravity. Tumbling down, she was too close to the ground to pull any sort of acrobatic maneuver and thus land lightly. Instead she hit the ground with a bone jarring thud, metal fan falling to smack her hard enough to temporarily stun the girl.

Small fingers reached out to clamp on Hebi no Hanarabi, as she struggled to move from under the metal fan. Finally managing to wrest the weapon off her chest, Paks looked up only to see Shun begin to punch the ground. Throwing the fan back, so that it flew past her head and landed roughly behind her, she curled her legs in trying to avoid the first few attacks. With a quick push, she lifted her body off the ground onto her hands. Preforming an impromptu handstand, Paks held all of her weight on one hand and used the other to grab for a tessen. Thrusting the still closed metal fan forward, she aimed for the player killer.

Throughout this all, he seemed to be punching in anger, and she watched as another clenched fist was directed towards her. Unable to really do much, and sacrificing a dodge for her attack, Paks felt the fist connect with her midriff again. She was thrown back, cursing her characters lack of weight. Landing with a heavy thud, Paks struggled to her feet shakily.

She winced as she checked her health points. One more hit perhaps... If she was lucky. Brushing those thoughts away she eyed the Kestrel member with the same amount of ferocity as before. Having lost none of her vigor throughout the fight. "I don't like to run, and I'm certainly not weak," she all but spat at him, a smirk curling her lips. This was almost fun. The reckless abandon. Anju began to see why so many people played this game.

Loss of control, that was what Shun was dealing with at this moment, his limbs would not move as he directed them to with his controller In order to launch an attack , Shun swung his upper body in a circular motion, which caused his gauntlet cover hands to swing in a fan like motion. The metallic whirl wind meant Paksennarion’s fan, the attack connected causing the player killer to slide back a few meters, his opponents attack had hit him, though he was unsure if his attack had hit it’s target.

Shun’s health was beginning to run dangerously low, he had to end the battle quickly, but how? “You are not weak” Shun said, as thought about his next move, he was unsure if Paksennarion had realized that her spell had actually hit him. “Yet I don’t believe you are strong…” Shun said in a low demonic tone as he twisted his lower half and his upper half in opposite directions. As Shun released the pressure on his limp body,, he flew forward in a spiral motion.

The red haired player was flying towards his opponent in a spinning fashion, his metallic gauntlets spun quickly, causing the virtual moon light to illuminate the player in a blue aura. “yet..” Shun finished his sentence as he spun towards the area Paksennarion was in, the battle was reaching it’s climax.

Paks blinked, lashes lowering almost demurely in surprise. His movement had begun to seem restricted, she hadn't noticed in their last exchange because he had still moved about so well. But now it was obvious that something was impeding him. Had her spell actually hit then? Interesting. She snarled quietly at his next words, irritation bubbling up inside her head at his tone. The strange body movements were hard to predict, so Paks simply waited for the attack that she knew was to come.

Tension filled the air, sharp enough that she could almost see it's existence. Crackling like a live wire. Slipping the tessen she had used to attack him with back into her sash, Paks bent down to retrieve her Dansen Uchiwa. The heavy war fan was only a few inches in front of her, having landed there when she tossed it back earlier. Hefting it's large girth up, the little girl grimaced as she spotted Shun's spiraling form heading towards her. Hebi no Hanarabi was mostly a defensive weapon, intended to work almost as a shield while still having limited offensive abilities. The one downturn, was that it's defenses were more tuned towards magics than physical attacks. This would be a gamble.

Paks licked her lips, a fiendish grin accompanied the wild glow of her eyes. Gambits were fun. Swinging the fan around, she propped one hand along the lower edge and the other near the handle. Shifting her feet so that she held a steady stance, Paks waited for the attack to land. Fan held out in front of her like a large shield, she blinked again as his last words filtered to her ears. Yet?

She only had the time to process that word, before a large force impacted with her fan. The fan which was supposed to absorb some of the attack, failed. Even from behind the large bulwark, Paks felt the force of the impact, flying backwards as the fan fell from her limp hands. Her small form hit the lip of the well, sliding to the ground with a dull thump.

For a moment she tried to get up, only to realize that she couldn't move. Hazy graphics filled her vision, but she could make out the health bar. 1. Paks blinked, and then she began to laugh.

The Player’s eyes glowed red as he watched, his target go flying back and fall to the ground with a thump. Shun himself was trapped on the ground as the poison had taken over his whole body, he could only make slight jerks. The player killer could not even force his virtual body back on to it’s feet. Though it looked as if the battle was over, the other player was on the ground either dead or with little health, he had barely % health points.

“So is it over?” Shun said in a calmer tone, “have you realized the power of Kestrel?” Shun was now thinking about the enjoying hunt he had just had. The only thing was that he could not tell if the other player, Paksennarion was dead and had just not logged out yet or if she still had some life left. Shun’s face held a look of interest, it had been a long time since he had fought some one with some much potential.
His black body was extremely still as the poison was still in effect.

Shun stared at the player waiting for her to logout or her to get up. “What a fun, Battle” Shun laughed to himself, under his own breath. The player killer was happy, even though he still did not have the ability to declare him self the winner. All he could do was watch and wait.

"Psh, what power? I'm not dead yet you jerk," Paks called out, her angry words waylaid by the almost amused tone. She struggled for several moments, managing to push her body up so that she was sitting. Leaning most if not all of her weight against the stone fountain behind her, Paks looked over at the other player.

"So my spell did hit," she mused quietly, thoughtfully. It would be simple enough to attack again and deplete his life points... Whack him with her tessen one more time. If only she could get enough energy to move... Paks struggled to reach for one of her fans, hoping to throw it at him. Even from her distance, she had a minor chance of hitting. Of course her hands refused to listen to her orders, and Paks could only clench and unclench her fingers. Cursing quietly, Paks sighed. "I don't know about you, but this seems somewhat of a draw..." She deliberated, the odd feeling of amusement returning.

Leaning her head back, Paks closed her eyes slightly. Listening to the soft trickle of water as it fell from the angel's hands to land in the fountain. Small water droplets would be displaced, falling over the lip to mist down towards her. Paks smiled mirthlessly at the act, finding it ironic that she started the fight in front of the fountain and now she ended it in the same place. At least she wasn't dead, ne?

Unable to move Shun struggled, so that his eye made contact with Paksennarion. “I guess that I have no choice…” said the red haired player grudgingly as he forced his right hand with all his might to reach beside his right waist. As he touched his waist a bright light engulfed the player killer, within seconds the player’s statue like position had fallen apart into a more normal fluid position. As much as Shun hated using potions, he had no choice as he hated being paralyzed even more.

The red haired player killer approached the weakened player. As he stood over her, a bright light flash in his hands as if was bringing out another weapon. Though this time it was somewhat different, Shun tossed the items in his hand next to Paksennarion. On the ground now laid a small potion for healing and card with a Kestrel symbol on it, one could use this to enter the Kestrel headquarters as it was essentially a key card. The whole time while committing this act, Shun’s face never lost his aggravated expression.

The Guild master then turned to leave; his metallic armor was still gleaming in the moonlight. Shun could be heard mumbling something about it being a long time since a battle with in ended in a draw. Shun and all his furry slowly began to disappear into the moonlight of the virtual field.

She opened her eyes at the flash of blue light, looking over to see Shun standing. Damn. Perhaps this wasn't going to be a draw. Meeting his eyes firmly, she waited to see what the player killer would do now that he could move. It seemed to take forever for him to walk towards her, each step drawing closer to what she assumed would be her death. Psh, it wasn't like it mattered, she had still held her own for a little bit there. Eyes narrowing, she glared up at him as he stood over her. Defiant to the end.

Another flash of light, reminiscent of when he kept trading off weapons. Was he recalling his scythe then? To end the fight with the weapon he had started it with? She fought off the urge to close her eyes. If he was about to end it, then she would watch. She was no coward to flinch away from the last blow. Unblinking, she watched as he tossed something at her. For a second, she kept her eyes on him, not trusting that he wasn't about to do something while she turned to look. But even that paranoid thought seemed a bit strange, as there was really no point to it. He didn't need her distracted, as it wasn't like she could dodge to begin with.

Glancing out of the corner of her eye, Paks looked at the objects on the ground. Surprise caught her, and her face went slack, the angry glare dropping as her eyes widened. A potion? She jerked her head back towards him, only to see Shun turned and walking away. Reaching the few centimeters to touch the potion, a warm glow surround her before her health points shot up.

Damn him. Damn him. Damn him. The short girl jumped to her feet, glaring acidically after his retreating form. "You jerk! I'll beat you next time! Just you wait!" Scowling at his back, she fumed. Paks didn't need his pity, and she certainly didn't need his help. If he could have killed her, he should have. Not doing so was just insulting. It meant he didn't see her as a threat, or that he wasn't taking her seriously. He probably thought this was amusing! A game. Snarling, she pivoted to glance back at the other item he had dropped. A small card. Grabbing it, Paks pocketed the key card and stalked away, anger boiling deep in her stomach. She wasn't someone to ignore or to take pity on.

The player killer disappeared into the moonlight of field towards a chaos gate; he had a goal to complete. Though first he would make a small pit stop; to check on his guilds progress. He would return to his guilds @home, a large field which was to home to some of the most brutal player killers.

As he walked into the distance, Shun’s expression turned into a demonic smile of joy. Though it seemed as if there was no one else around to enjoy it. Shun stepped into the chaos gate, the blue flicker lit up his dark armor, giving the field a momentary glow, before the player killer disappeared with a flicker of graphics. He had not made a kill this time, but he was sure that he would she this girl, Paksennarion again and he could hardly wait.

Ch. Slim fingers flipped purple hair back off her shoulders. With her back turned to the glow, she slipped a hand into her pocket. The strange feel of a card met her careful fingers, and Paks gripped it tightly allowing the stiff ends to bite into her palm. Facing the old building, it didn't seem as eerie now. The creaking wood and whisper of wind no longer sent chills down her spine. Taking slow steps forward, the Rogue-Adept continued to scowl, albeit softly.

He was strong. There was no doubting that. And he hadn't even used a technique during their fight, relying on his skill with weapons. Paks would bet that she wouldn't want to be on the receiving end of any of his skills... Strong. She wanted to be like that. She wanted to defeat him so that he held nothing over her. So that the knowledge of defeat could be washed away. The stain on her pride, this weakness... She wanted to be strong. So that no one would take mercy on her, or think her inconsequential. She wouldn't be ignored or patronized. And people would have to pay attention. If she was strong, she would be something. Even if it was just in this virtual world.

She had to grow stronger then.

Fingers tightening, Paks left the field.
